Japanese Garden Feature

“bring love and happiness to your garden”

This piece is a version of a commission design. The client wanted a centre piece for a Japanese Garden. My concept for the piece was to take two important symbols of Japanese culture – The Dragon and the Koi Carp and incorporated Japanese wording, on the centre disc “Tranquility / In good health/wellness” plus Peace, love, health.

The top (ring) was slab constructed with the designs carved in relief. The base is coiled. Once bisque fired glazes were applied and the piece has been Stoneware fired.
