‘Dragon Coil’ Light Feature finds a home

A big thank you to Echo Beach in Illfracombe, Devon for selling ‘Dragon Coil’, I have been told that the buyer fell in love with the piece and I really hope they are happy with the piece. As one of my newer pieces it was fantastic to know my work has been appreciated.

This piece was slab and coil constructed and then carved back. Raku glazes were applied after the initial Bisque firing. The piece was then raku fired to obtain the black patina finish with highlights of lustre and crackle glazes. A textured cabling was then wrapped around the body for the globe lighting.
